Draumr and Draumr XL share the same features - so should you order Draumr or Draumr XL?
(click on the button that corresponds to your height to get your answer)

DRAUMR IS RIGHT FOR YOU BECAUSE...

It’s spacious at your height, and will give you a flatter and more balanced sleep (compared to Draumr XL).
Chair mode is more comfortable. Better support for head and knees.
It’s easier to use the bug net zipper and pockets, since they are within reach.

SLEEPING PAD MEASUREMENTS:

Draumr must be used with a pad measuring about 78 in x 25 in x 3.5 in - the industry standard known as long wide (LW). This means that you can use Draumr with one of our LW pads, or you can use LW pads from other brands if they have the same size and construction. Learn more here.

HAMMOCK VS. PAD LENGTH:

The max recommended Draumr user length is 73 in, but you must use a 78 in long pad. Why? Basic physics, according to our R&D team (i.e. Jonas “The Captain” Haug). The pad gets slightly compressed when being used in the hammock. To achieve optimal comfort, we therefore only recommend the standard size Draumr to users up to 6′ 1″, even though the pad itself is longer.

DRAUMR IS RIGHT FOR YOU BECAUSE...

It’s spacious enough, even though you’re getting close to the max length.
It weighs less and packs smaller than the XL variant.

Draumr XL on the other hand can only be used together with one of our 87 in long pads (as shorter pads don’t provide enough structural support). Learn more here.

CHOOSE DRAUMR XL WITH XL PAD IF...

You think that extra length and space is more important than weight and pad compatibility

DRAUMR XL IS RIGHT FOR YOU BECAUSE...

You’ll get plenty of space at your height.
You are tall enough to get the most out of the chair function in the XL.
Bug net will be roomier - further from your face and feet, and you are tall enough to reach the zipper.

CONSIDER DRAUMR STANDARD LENGTH IF...

You’re willing to offer a bit of space/roominess to reduce the kit's total weight and pack size. At your length Draumr is a tight fit, but it still works, and we know that some people go for this option in order to hike lighter.

DRAUMR XL IS RIGHT FOR YOU BECAUSE...

The regular Draumr will feel tight at the ends, whereas the Draumr XL will still be roomy and comfortable.
You get a giant's throne and a spacious bug net.
You get to own the world's longest sleeping pad - also good for ground camping.
