How to make winter camping comfortable- Telemark, Norway

The  Woodsmen´s guide to a hot hang

Before I get into the technicalities of how to stay warm during cold winter hangs, let me introduce you to two of our favorite Norwegian hammockers. You may know them as Norwegian Outdoors. No, wait a minute, that's not their name. My bad, let me introduce you to the Woodsmen.

The Woodsmen (or Marius and Jonathan) are no strangers to cold. They have been on heaps of winter adventures, both short and long. Additionally, they go camping almost every weekend, no matter the weather. This has led them to become quite knowledgeable about the dos and don'ts during winter camping.

If you decide to watch the video I can promise you: general tips and tricks, how to make a fire (use real wood and be a real human being), a good laugh to extend your life and some absolutely stunning drone footage of winter in Telemark, Norway.

Maybe, you are the kind of person that gets easily bored? If so, just press the link you would prefer below. However, if you know whats good for you, may I suggest that you grab a snack and enjoy the whole 40 minutes. Thats is what I am going to do- Didrik @ Team Amok.

Well done video, good tips. Thanks.
The hammock looks very comfortable, is it as warm as a tent would be on the ground in the snow?

Great video for people who haven’t been outdoors in the snow much. I used to visit Norway and really like it there, so this brought back memories. ?
