Fish, Swim, Hammock - Vrådal, Norway

Last spring Mikkel (the designer dude) was searching on YouTube for inspirational hammock videos. That was when he encountered a couple of Norwegian hammockers, at the age of 22 (Norwegian Outdoors) with two Amok Draumr 3.0, who caught his attention. We immediately liked their content, and overall ability to get out in the field.

After following their channel for some time, we decided to ask them if they would like to contribute to The Hammock Blog, and this is their result. Ready to get a feel for what hammock camping is all about? If Yes, grab a cup of your favorite brew, and stay tuned for campfires, steak, swimming and an overall awesome feel-good vlog.

Vrådal

Vrådal is a small village located in the county of Telemark. The area is proud of its cultural heritage, and Morgedal (situated close by) is known as the birthplace of modern skiing. Vrådal can tempt outdoor enthusiasts with royal mountains, lush forests, quiet lakes and breathtaking views

There are several good places to catch fish. Nisser and Vråvatn are the largest ones. However, the smaller lakes are known to hold an abundance of trout, whitefish, char, and perch. If you are the hiking type you can find several peaks over 1.000 metres above sea level.

Knall film. Blir jo ikke mindre sugen på å dra ut på overnatting i min kjäre Amok etter å ha sett dette!
